About the Artist Hello, I\'m Joan Minervini, owner of Vintage Keepsake Trunk. I am the owner/operator of my home-based design studio called "Collectibles by Joan". I live on our mini-ranch in Palm Desert, California, USA with my husband, our two big dogs and kitty. I have been a professional seamstress and doll costumer for 40 years thanks to the inspiration of my Great Aunt and Grandmother who taught me to sew on an old antique rocker pedal Singer Sewing Machine. Now, I consider myself a self taught Prim Artist and I specialize in Primitive Folk Art Dolls, Prim Home Decor, Florals & Holiday Collectibles. I love working with fabric, paints and clay.
